Product Review: Smart Shake 2.0

Sooo what’s difference?
SmartShake is proud to sponsor the best athletes in the bodybuilding and fitness industry. Our athletes hold a record

25 Mr and Miss Olympia Titles. Choose a cup that the top names in the industry endorse and use.

Beside the fact that it’s almost fully opaque (the middle cup is fully opaque) and it’s a glossy finish, nothing is changed at all!

It comes with a plastic 4 way divider in the middle cup for supplements but I throw it out and use the 3rd cup for a scoop and a half of Vitargo!

The aluminum carabiner clip is not dishwasher safe and will get nasty, so I throw that out also!

I had a moral dilemma picking which cup I was going to pick!

Red and black is my favorite colors and I like Ronnie better than Phil!

So which cup should I get? In the end red and black won out! Because; I just did not like the blue!

Q: What is the good part about the lack of change?

A: All the parts are interchange! And dishwasher safe!

Sooo what’s the difference?

Not a whole hell of a lot! There’s nothing notable different! Buy V1 or V2 depending on the deal you get!

Gym Gear: Oakley Icon 3 Backpack

IMG_5107
I have to say it is made extremely well! Furthermore; it fits really well on my back and is super comfortable! For a guy who is 6′ 270lbs that wears a 3XL jacket it fits remarkably well!

However; I absolutely hate the pocket configuration! Whomever designed the inside of the bag deserves a giant punch in the face and should refund me half my money as this bag is expensive!

The outside look of the bag is awesome it looks badass and the 3 buckle system is cool!

The media pocket on top not really a media pocket, but a felt lined pocket is great for sunglasses or as I use it for change!

The inside configuration starts off not bad, a padded pocket for your laptop or tablet! Awesome! But then the front configuration has some stupid bullshit Velcro folded flaps and the media pockets inside are much too small for anything! There are no pen or pencil slides and nowhere to put a shaker bottle or water bottle! There are two small side pockets but they are too small to be practical. They are good for snacks or some small items on both sides.

Maybe the bag will grow on me, but right now I am missing my military rucksack…

**Update** February 26th 2015

The bag is starting to grow on me as I see which way I can pack it. However; Oakley should take note of six pack fitness!

I purchased the Gofit extreme sandbag from Groupon and again Groupon fucked up! It specifically states in the Groupon that it comes with a DVD which was a big reason I purchased it, as I have no idea what to do with it (thank God for YouTube!) i contacted Gofit and they claim there is no dvd there was supposed to be a workout poster, but they don’t have that either and they offered to send me a free tshirt to make up for it. When I told them I was an XXL they said sorry we only have XL 😒😒😒😒

WTF!

That will not discourage me! I will still figure out how to add this to my Crossfit cardio circuit!

What can I say? It was fun! I have a trampoline in my backyard, and a portable workout rebounder, but I don’t have over 30 connected together lol. I also don’t have a foam pit

I was disappointed about the way they controlled the foam pit like Nazi’s! There was 5 or so trampolines to jump into the pit and only 2 at a time were able to jump. That caused a huge lineup and literally wasted most of our time! Then they kept saying we need to take a 10 min break so they can re-puff up the foam blocks.

The dodgeball was a total disappointment as it is improperly managed! They make teams and that’s it! If you want to play you have to stand there and wait and lose your time!

What should happen is either they make teams and one person gets out another goes in, until everyone waiting is dead. Or make teams and take names for the next team and call the names for the new team over the loudspeaker and give them so much time to report!

It would be much smoother and much more fair! The referee knew a lot of the regulars names and gave them preferential treatment and let them go in the game ahead of others waiting. We all pay for time! If you get mistreated, you will be less likely to become a new regular!

One other thing I didn’t like was they had one court closed off for no reason! That made all the other areas more populated!

Back to the parts I enjoyed; the foam pit (once you actually got a chance to do it) was awesome! Once you launch yourself into it, it is so hard to get out! I (at 270lbs) was suspended in the air and trapped upside down!! I had to forcefully roll over to my stomach and stand up then get my legs over the top of the foam and try and crawl on my belly like my army training days. It takes a lot out of you to climb out of there! It’s a great workout! Especially; when you sink all the way to the bottom and your feet are on the trampoline beneath the foam blocks.

They also have a basketball area where you can do trick slam dunks, but I don’t care for that.

The actual jump arena is cool as they have slanted trampolines for walls and you can bounce off of those too! The best part is to jump off the wall and crash and burn! Which I was doing above! Jump off the wall and let it throw you wherever you go! Don’t try to land it! But remember how to fall properly if you do that! Don’t try to put your hand down to stop you, keep your hands and head tucked in! You can even tuck in your legs like a cannon ball!

Just hope you don’t land between the trampolines on a hard spot lol!

Speaking of; one of the problems I had was jumping between the trampolines. Getting the forward momentum was hard! I always landed on the hard part between the trampolines And it hurt my knees. That’s where running down the trampolines came from lol. Let me tell you running down them is also a killer workout! Just do sprints back and forth!

I was also running across all the trampolines however you have to rub kind of goofy like you are jumping over the hurdles on a track as you will see when you try to do it!

My wife was doing more advanced stuff like: backflips and back handsprings. I did a cartwheel in one picture lol. That’s as much as my gymnastics goes. I’m too big to flip now, unless I’m flipping into the foam pit! You can also do flying martial arts kicks into the foam pit lol as I did in the one picture.

Overall just have fun, be a kid and enjoy life! And get a workout in the process! If you are old or elderly, just jump. Jumping in one spot only will give you a great workout! And you can do something with your children/grandchildren. Rebounding is beneficial for people with all kinds of injuries! See my article on rebounding here on this site!

They even have a snackbar that wasn’t too shabby! If you are hungry or thirsty check it out! (If you will be there for a while remember to hydrate! You will need to drink a lot!

**Hint** I will give u a hint! They give you socks like they give in the hospital with the grips on the bottom. Do not take off your socks! Place those socks over your socks!

If you do what I did and replace your socks, you will lose their socks in the foam pit and you will be barefoot and have to walk around the dirty floors back to the front desk to get more socks! If you put them over your socks they will create friction and remain in place!

There you go a free tip! Lol

Sore sore sore – my knee has been bothering me and I can’t do cardio! Ugh what will I do!

IMG_9716.PNG

IMG_9715.PNG
My knee has been sore due to working in dress shoes and not having the right insoles. I purchased a rebounder and can’t do cardio until it arrives, but what shall I do in the meantime? I am going to try a 30 day challenge! Lets do this! My suits getting tight and I can’t afford to buy new ones while I am injured! Lets do this! 100 crunches today! I got this!

I picked a challenge I can do anywhere and anytime! No gym needed! Although; I will still be working out at the gym.

Stay tuned for results!
Yesterday I did 150 crunches
Today 100 pushups not bad!

**Update** October 13th 2014
Once I received my Rebounder i discontinued the challenge. I may start it back up in addition to the trampoline and use my perfect pushups for the pushup challenge portion.

I have been doing 300 crunches daily with my Rebounder and I am about to go to 500! So I guess I am kinda still doing the challenge…
