1/2 teaspoon Mustard
1 cup Egg White
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
2 tbsp chopped Onions
2 tbsp Sweet Red Peppers
1 serving (serving = 4 oz) Wal-Mart Tilapia Fillets
Heat a non skillet pan and cook tilapia for 3 min each side until flaky. Then shred tilapia in a bowl and add in all other ingredients. Once mixed together form in balls and brown in the pan for 3 minutes on each side. Top with 1 tsp mustard!

Would you believe me if I told you that this dessert is very easy to make and requires no cooking? No messing around in the kitchen – just a little bit of blending and stirring, put it in the fridge and it’s done. Only 4 ingredients needed.
In addition, it turns out picture perfect. Every. Single. Time.

CHOCOLATE AND RASPBERRY CHIA PUDDING
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Yield: 2 servings
6 Tbsp chia seeds
2 cups coconut milk beverage or any non-dairy milk
6 large squares dark chocolate (yield about 2 Tbsp melted + 4 Tbsp grated chocolate to decorate)
½ cup fresh or frozen raspberries + a few raspberries to decorate
In a small pot melt about 4 chocolate squares over low heat (should yield about 2 tablespoon melted chocolate). Add 1 cup of the coconut milk beverage or your favourite non-dairy milk and stir until combined making sure the mixture doesn’t become too hot. Turn off the heat and let it cool to the room temperature.
In the meantime, add the raspberries and 1 cup of coconut milk beverage or your favourite non-dairy milk to a blender and puree until smooth. Pour the mixture into a jar or a glass container and add 3 tablespoons of chia seeds. Mix well until all the chia seeds are covered with the liquid. Cover with a tight lid and place in the refrigerator.
Once the chocolate mixture is cool, pour it into a jar or a glass container and add 3 tablespoons of the chia seeds. Mix well until all the chia seeds are covered with the liquid. Cover with a tight lid and place in the refrigerator. Keep the chia seeds in the fridge over night or for at least 8 hours.
Once ready to prepare the pudding, check the consistency of the chocolate chia. If you find it too thick add 2 or 3 tablespoons of the milk of your choice and mix well.
Divide the chocolate chia in half and place each half into 2 small bowls or dessert glasses. Divide the raspberry chia in half and place on top of the chocolate chia.
Grate the remaining 2 squares of the dark chocolate using a grater or shave it with a knife. To decorate the chia pudding, add about 2 tablespoons of the shaved chocolate and a few raspberries to each dessert glass.
This dessert keeps well in the fridge for up to 10 hours. This recipe makes 2 puddings about 1 cup each. You can also make 4 mini-puddings about 1/2 cup each.

Recipe: Fire Cider
Have you heard of fire cider? The first time I encountered this traditional folk recipe, I have to admit I was terrified. Horseradish, garlic, onion, ginger, and hot peppers infused in vinegar? To drink? It took me years before I tried it, but you can be braver than me. It’s worth it! Plus you can use fire cider in so many ways — from cold cure to cooking to cocktails.
Hot, pungent, sour, and sweet, fire cider is certainly not for the faint of heart. Yet this fiery concoction has been revered for generations as a simple and effective remedy to relieve sinus congestion, ward off colds and flus, aid digestion, and increase circulation. Fire cider can be sipped neat on its own, mixed with other beverages, or used in cooking. (You might think of it like a savory shrub.) It’s especially useful to have fire cider on hand in cold weather.
As a folk remedy there are countless variations, but most fire cider recipes include ingredients like fresh horseradish, garlic, onion, ginger, and chile pepper. These are infused in apple cider vinegar (vinegar draws out many plant constituents), which is then strained and sweetened with honey. My recipe is based on the one popularized by herbalist Rosemary Gladstar (see her video and recipe here). In addition to the ingredients mentioned above, I like to add turmeric, citrus, and herbs like parsley, rosemary, and thyme. Together they form a potent punch that is immune-boosting, antibacterial, antiviral, congestion clearing, and warming.
I really encourage you to have fun and create your own fire cider according to your tastes and available ingredients. In fact, I make it a little different every time. In some batches I use spices like cinnamon and cardamom or add vitamin C-rich rose hips. Other times I use ground cayenne or dried chiles rather than fresh habaneros or jalapenos. If you use ground chile, start with a small pinch; you can always add more to taste after you strain the vinegar.
If you’re a fan of spicy foods, you might take to fire cider right away, tossing back shots to get your blood flowing on a cold winter day. If you have a more timid palate, you might want to dial back on the chile, sweeten with extra honey, and start with small dashes of fire cider in your food rather than drinking it straight.
A few serving suggestions:
Straight up: Rosemary Gladstar recommends taking 1 to 2 tablespoons at the first sign of a cold, and then repeating every 3 to 4 hours until symptoms subside. Some people also take fire cider as a preventative during cold and flu season.
Mix with lemonade or orange juice
Mix with hot water and extra honey to make a tea
Use in place of vinegar in salad dressings and condiments (like this fire cider honey mustard at Salt+Fat+Whiskey)
Drizzle on steamed vegetables or sautéed greens
Use in marinades for meat, tofu, and tempeh
Add to soups and chilis
Try a couple of dashes in a cocktail, such as a Bloody Mary

Makes 1 pint or more
1/2 cup peeled and diced horseradish
1/2 cup peeled and diced garlic
1/2 cup peeled and diced onion
1/4 cup peeled and diced ginger
1/4 cup peeled and diced turmeric
1 habanero chile, split in half
1 orange, quartered and thinly sliced crosswise
1/2 lemon, quartered and thinly sliced crosswise
1/2 cup chopped parsley
2 tablespoons chopped rosemary
2 tablespoons chopped thyme
1 teaspoon black peppercorns
2 to 3 cups raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar (at least 5% acidity)
1/4 cup raw honey, or more to taste
Place all of the vegetables, fruits, herbs, and spices in a clean 1-quart jar. Fill the jar with vinegar, covering all the ingredients and making sure there are no air bubbles. Cap the jar. If using a metal lid, place a piece of parchment or wax paper between the jar and the lid to prevent corrosion from the vinegar. Shake well.
Let the jar sit for 3 to 6 weeks, shaking daily (or as often as you remember).
Strain the vinegar into a clean jar. Add honey to taste. Refrigerate and use within a year.

I was surprised at how delicious all the food was! The coconut yogurt (fake yogurt like substance) tasted like yogurt even though the wasn’t any dairy in it! The Chocolate Mousse didn’t taste like Chocolate Mousse but it was delicious and the base ingredient is avocado! Which is a staple in my current diet! The Matcha Tea and Chia seed was also delicious! It’s flavors were layered nicely! At $6-8 I would buy all of the products again, but not too often!
The Dragon’s Breath was $4 and wasn’t bad the flavors were layered first the lemon then the ginger and pow the cayenne! I saved it for preworkout and it was nice!

This place was really cool, fun and bright! But highly overpriced!
The Raw Chocolate Chia pudding was extremely tiny and about $8.00
The PEANUT BUTTER AÇAÍ BOWL was $7.50 and twice the size of the Chia pudding.
All that being said they were both delicious! The pudding was creamy and with the fresh raspberries the flavor just jumped out unexpectedly when you bit them. Would I get it again? Absolutely! But not very often due to the price!
The PEANUT BUTTER AÇAÍ BOWL was totally marketed wrong! I wasn’t sure exactly what I was getting! It turned out to be like frozen yogurt. I wasn’t sure if it was hot or cold, or just a bowl of fruit in a bowl with peanut butter on top.
They also had almond butter for those that prefer that.

I had a fee products over the weekend. The Killer XX juice was potent and it’s kind of like fire cider, but it’s more gentle due to the apple in it, but the cayenne and ginger is still strong! I liked it a lot.
The quinoa brownie was dry and tasted like wood chips just like the carrot cake both I can do without!
Now comes the smoothie!
The Blue Velvet is amazing! The nut butter is strong and the berries enhance the flavor overall it’s probably one of the best tasting and healthiest shakes I have ever had! I love it and will definitely get it again! However; I want to see how much whey protein they add next time!

I went there today skeptical… And had the chocolate pudding: first off it’s not pudding! You vegans can’t steal our names and make your food ours!
Pudding is pudding! If you want to call yours pudding-like substance ok! Ps the same goes for yogurt, veggie burger, tiramisu, ice cream, moon pies and definitely Cheesecake! Make up your own names! No piggybacking!
That being said; I had the pudding like substance from One Lucky Duck and let me tell you it was amazing! That being said; I am not giving up meat! But I can add some of their products to my diet!
Does it taste like pudding? No! It was delicious and tastes totally different. Like nothing you have had. Does it have a pudding consistency? No! It’s slightly thicker. Does it look like pudding? Yes. Will I buy it again? Yes, but at $11 that’s crazy! Maybe once in a blue moon! Will I try to reengineer it? Yes!
I’ll just have to sneak in a ziplock bag of grilled chicken to make these dishes perfect! 😝
Seriously; try it and you will be amazed at how delicious raw food can be!
If you think hard enough there are plenty of foods that are delicious, fruits, veggies, Nutbutters, coconut etc.. However; my body and lifestyle demands way more protein on a daily basis! 1-1.5g of protein per pound of bodyweight! At 250lbs It would cost me a fortune to eat enough protein, with vegan proteins normally come carbs, carbs for my body-type are the Devil! So for me; I couldn’t totally switch. Nor do I want to! But like I said; it won’t hurt for me to integrate a little in my diet.

Everything in moderation! Too much of one thing isn’t good for you! The same goes for not enough of everything also isn’t good!

The only problem with this place is the prices are insane! Not crazy…insane! If the pudding was a reasonable $6-6:50 each I would be in everyday!
That’s a guaranteed $32.50 a week! And I would most likely buy more stuff as I go and look. But at $11 each maybe one a week if they are lucky!
If only they were reasonable! I could probably get a lot more people to go! Even those of us that aren’t vegan!

For being raw vegan and zero dairy it wasn’t that bad! The mint pseudo ice cream tasted like ice cream but the other flavor and the brownie chunks were noticeably different, but as a whole it was delicious and I would get it again. However; the chocolate pseudo pudding is by far my favorite! It tastes like real pudding and I wouldn’t mind eating it daily! If only it was more affordable!

Last night my girlfriend made the avocado Pseudo pudding recipe from here and she hit the nail on the head! She has all the cookbooks from Pure Food and Wine, so It was exactly the same consistency, color and flavor! It was delicious, lucky for me she made a big batch, so I can enjoy it for the next couple days! I had a little this morning for breakfast!
It’s great for battling a sweet tooth while staying on your diet! The best part is the recipe is raw, so how hard can it be! Avocados, cocoa and probably a few other ingredients together and boom yummy pudding like substance! It satisfies your healthy omega requirements and gives you a treat at the same time!
Check out Pure Food & Wine as well as One Lucky Duck! I promise you won’t be upset even though it’s raw vegan! If you happen to be raw vegan however; it may ruin your life! The products are soo good it may ruin other places for you and make you go broke only eating their food! I am not sure if they still sell cookbooks, but if they do, invest in them and take your raw vegan lifestyle to the next level! If you aren’t raw vegan like myself, some of the recipes will give you another tool for your toolbox on your way to a healthy balanced lifestyle!
Remember my catch phrase: Everything in moderation! That goes for anything and everything in life! If you can stick by that, you will have a happy, healthy and fun life! That’s my recipe for success!

I just had Zico another one of the large manufacturers and it was pretty good, I would say it was 2nd place behind Harvest Bay. Zico tasted much more natural than Vitacoca! Harvest Bay still rules! I actually found it at a new Stop & Shop which has a larger Natural Foods section then the others. However; it was much more expensive than Green Life Market! It was I believe $5.35 to Green Life’s $4.00
Benefits of Wheatgrass
Some of the superior qualities of wheatgrass and the juice that can be extracted from its blades include the following:
Increases red blood-cell count and lowers blood pressure. It cleanses the blood, organs and gastrointestinal tract of debris. Wheatgrass also stimulates metabolism and the body’s enzyme systems by enriching the blood. It also aids in reducing blood pressure by dilating the blood pathways throughout the body.
Stimulates the thyroid gland, correcting obesity, indigestion, and a host of other complaints.
Restores alkalinity to the blood. The juice’s abundance of alkaline minerals helps reduce over-acidity in the blood.
