Farmer Jim’s is a craft producer of ketchup, meaning we make it by hand.
Why Farmer Jim’s?
It’s the best ketchup in the world.
Slow cooked in small batches, it comes in two flavors – Original and Spicy Chipotle.
It’s made with pureed tomatoes, apple cider vinegar, honey, molasses, and a secret blend of spices.
It has only 55mg of sodium per serving, and 1g of sugar.
It’s proudly made in Montclair, New Jersey
His website really sucks! But don’t hold that against him!
Stay tuned for review!
My diet has been weird and I haven’t had the opportunity for ketchup until today, I had a few hard boiled eggs today, so I opted for my Farmer Jims small batch Chipotle Ketchup and let me tell you, it’s the best tasting ketchup I have ever had! It was delicious! It had a ragu tomato sauce like consistency but tasted like a rich ketchup and it also has a kick! I love it!
What is better than the taste? The nutritional value! It’s only 10 calories per serving and only 2g of carbs! With 1g of sugar! That’s ridiculous!! Plus it’s organic and unlike Heinz it does not contain horrible products like high fructose corn syrup!
I actually wrote Heinz about them containing High fructose corn syrup and this is their response:

Thank you for visiting our website.
As you can imagine, consumer feedback is very important to us, and we appreciate the opportunity to respond to your concerns about the use of high fructose corn syrup in Heinz products.
Recent media reports have called attention to high fructose corn syrup and its role in the U.S. diet. Many of these articles attempt to link its consumption to obesity.
It is always important to recognize that excess calories from any source can contribute to increased weight in the absence of exercise. It is incorrect to focus on any specific food or ingredient in attempting to address obesity. In moderation, all foods can fit into a healthful, balanced diet.
The Food & Drug Administration’s Obesity Working Group released a report whose primary recommendation was ‘calorie count.’ This recommendation reflects sound science and a wealth of research. This report suggests that instead of focusing on any one food ingredient, the most important message is that, to manage weight, you must balance calories consumed against energy expended. To lose weight, calorie expenditure must be greater than calories consumed.
Heinz is committed to providing a variety of options for different consumer lifestyles. As a result, we extended to our consumers yet another choice for enjoying Heinz Ketchup – to include Simply Heinz Tomato Ketchup which is made with sugar. Production began 2010 and product is now available nationally in supermarkets. This adds to our Heinz Ketchup line selection, which, beyond our base ketchup, also includes Heinz Organic Ketchup-made with organic sugar, Heinz Hot & Spicy Ketchup-made with Tabasco, Heinz No Salt Added Ketchup and Heinz Reduced Sugar Ketchup.
Once again, we are always glad to hear from our consumers, especially one as loyal to Heinz products as you.

Really?? Here was my response to their response:
Arsenic can be tolerated in ultra small doses, I don’t recommend you eating that either!

Really Heinz if you stuck with your original recipe from the originator you wouldn’t need all those other types! And I guarantee high fructose corn syrup wasn’t in the original recipe!
Try Farmer Jims and then write Heinz and tell them what you think about their products!
Will Farmer Jim’s plain be as good as the chipotle? Not in my eyes I love spicy! But will it be better than other ketchup? I’m sure it will! Stay tuned for that!
