The benefits of rice protein don’t fall far from that of it’s source, brown rice. As a hypoallergenic whole grain food, brown rice owes much of its health benefits to the nutrients within each one of its layers.

Ok so first off I’m astounded at how you can make protein powder from Rice! So I asked the company how:

“I’m still amazed… Protein made from rice?? Can you explain how that’s possible? Without divulging your secrets. If it’s one gram of protein per 1/4 cup of rice, how much rice do you have to process just for one tub of protein, it doesn’t seem cost effective for you?”

Their answer:

“Great questions! Rice protein is actually a by-product of producing rice syrup (sweetener derived from rice). I’m sure you’re familiar with corn syrup in the US, but worldwide, rice syrup is actually the preferred sweetener. The raw rice grains are basically fractioned—the starch/sugar content is removed to make rice syrup and the protein content is left behind which is then pulverized and dried to make the basic protein powder. Then we add flavoring, sweetener, etc. to make our finished product.

I’m not sure how it calculates down to how much raw rice to produce 1 tub of rice protein, but nothing ever goes to waste as rice syrup is always in high demand. And as long as that’s the case, we will always have rice protein supplements to make”

So now we know how they make it, lets get to the preliminary review:

Mixability: 8/10 there’s a little bit of white flecks in the bottle.
Smell: 7/10 doesn’t smell to great
Taste: 8/10 tastes a lot better than it smells, but it leaves a residue coating on the inside of your mouth and behind your teeth that I wasn’t so happy about, but one sip of water washed it away easily.

It definitely wasn’t like the liquid lecithin that I couldn’t get off the roof of my mouth! I almost wanted to cry lmao!

Overall; I think it’s a good (possible) whey substitute! Stay tuned for a complete review and see how this works over time! That way we are sure!

**Update** May 11th 2014
Last week I mixed vanilla and Chocolate rice protein together and it wasn’t bad.

This week I am mixing one scoop of Rice protein with one scoop of Whey Isolate so I get a time released post workout recovery shake. Lets see how that works out!

Supplement Review: MHP Paleo Protein – Beef & Egg White Protein

The big pending question: Will Paelo Protein (beef & egg) give you the beefy burps like Muscle Meds Carnivor

This is a historic post! It’s our 417th post and currently we have over 99k total views!

But this is where it all started!
The first ever post for Louisjbianco.wordpress.com was: Muscle Meds Carnivor!
And the product sucked! Lol will Paleo Protein redeem the benefit of beef based protein powder in place of Whey!

Stay tuned for the historic review!

**Update**
It tastes like crap!! Yuk! Not as bad as Carnivor, but bad enough for me to stick with ETB and say screw this! Yuk! Luckily no yucky beef tasting burps! It’s just a tad better than Carnivor, but not good enough for me to buy a whole jug of it!!

**Update**
I’m going off on a rant again!
Keep in mind that any review in life is subjective! What one person hates another might love! So, don’t always take my word (or anyone’s) make up your own mind and share it (that’s why there’s a comment section feel free to comment and share on any topic) take movies as an example! If all the critics hate it, I usually like it! Lol
