This is a nicely made vest except for the handle. It seems too thin and flimsy.
I have mixed feelings about this vest. It is hard to put on Roger as he is always amped up when it is time to go out. The first harness went over his head this one is a little harder because of where the clips are.
However it does look more comfortable for him and it looks to be more secure. Partly due to the smaller clip size. It does bunch up on him and doesn’t always lay flat like the picture.
Later this spring I will be reviewing a new harness with cobra buckles. What is a cobra buckle?
Stay tuned and you will find out!
This jacket looks awesome and military like and can possibly be reversed for emergency signaling (orange bottom). The coat looks like a military parka which I like and it doesn’t restrict the dog due to it not having sleeves, so it has greater acceptance with dogs as they still have freedom of movement and it’s not too tight!
It doesn’t seem to be water resistant, but I may scotchguard it. Well, not scotchguard as it contains harmful PFC’s. but Microseal fabric protector and Vectra Spray, both of which state they contain no Fluorochemicals or PTFE Resin. That way it’s water resistant! Perfect for snowy weather!
Product Review: Pet Products – OneTigris Tactical K9 Training Vest Adjustable Service Dog Harness and Tactical Dog Training Bungee Leash with Control Handle Quick Release Nylon Leads Rope
Hello Everyone! This is my first review for pet products! I have a new addition to my Family. Roger That Bianco. He is a Pitbull Terrier and I rescued him from the Islip Animal Shelter in Islip, NY. This is a town run shelter, not a rescue shelter. However there is a rescue organization that helps and volunteers at the station. They are called: Live Love Bark Dog Rescue Inc. They help take care of the dogs and with adoptions and they even help train the dogs, so they have a better adoption success rate.
I received Roger on November 7th. Lucky number 7! And Roger is a dream come true! He is such a good dog! He behaves when we go to places and barely ever barks and never growls unless he is playing tug o’ war with his rope. I was given a Neck chain from the shelter and I do not like pulling on those. I fear choking him and hurting his neck. So being former military, I was in search of a military grade canine harness. I searched far and wide for the perfect product. I saw numerous harnesses online and many of these exact harnesses sold and produced by different companies. See below:
Not Only does it look to be at least the same quality, but it also comes with a cool morale patch! A service dog patch. I immediately ordered the harness! Upon initial inspection, I couldn’t help but notice the durable construction! Extra stitching in high stress points, thick nylon construction, thick nylon straps, a large sturdy buckle and adjustment points. There is also two points of Velcro on both sides of the harness. I left the service dog patch and added my military name tag to the other side to make it nice and customized!
Now for the most important test! Will he wear it? As I stated before, I had a collar and a chain collar. The chain collar was hard to put on, as you have to put it over his head and then adjust it tighter and then loosen it to take it off. Roger does not like to sit still when leaving and walking in the door. This harness is so much easier to put on! A big loop to go easily over his head, well semi-easily, he likes to keep his mouth open and most of the time I have to take it out of his mouth and muscle it around him. And then easily go under his chest and clip the clip.
At first he was trying to bite at the clip to get it off, but I instantly put on the leash and headed outside with it. Once I put the leash on, he understood what it was and was soooo happy to have it on instead of the choke chain! He has never tried to take it off since! He wore the harness for about 6 hours straight the week before Thanksgiving with not a single complaint.
This harness is amazing and has helped to control his walks much better. He stays closely by my right side and I do not have any fears if I have to give him a little yank to control him or pull him away from things that might hurt him, such as a car passing or a stray chicken bone by the garbage.
This is also helped by the addition of the Tactical Dog Training Bungee Leash with Control Handle Quick Release Nylon Leads Rope. This lead (leash) teaches the dog to remain close to the owner and once he ventures out, the bungee puts constant tension on him making him want to return. The leash isn’t too long also, so he won’t be halfway up your neighbors lawn when walking. He will be just past the curb or sidewalk. The length of the leash also allows for one handed operation of the leash. No uncomfortable wrapping it around your hand and unwrapping it; no cross-body holding it, no having to uncomfortably hold your hand three feet over his head so the leash doesn’t drag on the floor and he steps over it or gets tangled in it.
The leash has a control handle on the bottom, it is perfect for taking him in populated areas like parking lots, stores or a city sidewalk. The control handle also has a 360 degree pivot that allows him to turn around without breaking your wrist!
This leash and harness combo is a dream come true and the best thing I have purchased for my pet!
I am very active and like to do a lot of outdoor activities such as hiking and extreme hiking! I can’t wait to get the OneTigris Tactical Dog Molle Vest Harness Training Dog Vest with Detachable Pouches and do a review on that system during our hikes! I also would like to see it function on the beach and other rough terrain areas! Maybe we can do a mud run together! How will it function jumping into the lake together and then continuing the run? Will he get chaffed? Will it perform without a hitch?
I’ll tell you something else about using this combination! It also helps to teach him off leash training! When going up and down the stairs in the house he must run up and down the stairs on my right side! I also let him come to the car to go away unleashed and to get groceries, so he gets a sense of freedom and comes back to me when called. I also take him to the dog park regularly so he can run unleashed and socialize with other dogs. Because of this leash and harness he returns to my side if he feels threatened and he returns when called. (Treats also have a little to do with that lol)
Guess what, I also have a little inside knowledge on the construction of the leash. This happens to be my second leash! I left him in the backseat with the leash on an extended trip and he tricked me out! I thought he was chewing on his toy, but instead he chewed the leash! So, I got to see the inside of the leash first hand. First off, the exterior part of the leash is woven nylon. When woven nylon is extremely strong! It can probably hold 1000lbs or more! Secondly, the bungee inside is also woven! Making the bungee extremely durable also, without a fear of him snapping it from extreme pulling. It also helps keep the elasticity and stop it from wearing out easily. The handle loop is also padded for your comfort and large enough to fit your hand and clip on a poop bag holder. I have the handipod bag holder with hand sanitizer (but that’s a desperate review).
**Update** December 4th 2016
I love the harness, but I do have to say it had a catastrophic clip failure 3 times.
Once in Petco my gf was holding a snack and Roger jumped for it, when he landed the clip popped open, not a big deal, I grabbed him and put it back on instantly.
The second time was in my living room also not bad!
The third time was life threatening! A busy Saturday outside Walmart he was pulling to get a half eaten sandwich and the clip popped and Roger ran. If he ran into the parking lot, it wouldn’t have ended nicely! I managed to trick him into thinking I had a treat in my hand and he ran over.
I praised him for coming back and grabbed his collar to put the harness back on, which wasn’t easy, because it has to go over his head!
Maybe it can be reengineered with a secondary emergency latch system in case the main clip fails.
Hello everyone! Today I am reviewing the ChuckIt Kick Fetch (kickball). This ball is awesome! Even with the funky shape you can dribble it like a basketball and throw it! Or you can kick it! My Dog Roger That is a pitbull and because of that he is classified as a power chewer! He shreds through toys as much as a commercial paper shredder chews through paper! Toys do not last in this house! He has shred though numerous Walmart dog toys in minutes.
A Petco Star Wars dog toy lasted all of about 2 minutes! Poor BB-8 (I like you!)
Kong (supposedly indestructible) dog toys are destroyed in seconds! I bought a Kong dog bone and gave it to him in the car on the ride home from PetGoods and in about 30 seconds this is what happened:
That brings me to ChuckIt toys!
As you can see in the picture at the beginning of the post, Roger sat on the couch set to destroy the ChuckIt kickball and this is all that he did:
ChuckIt is the way to go if you have a dog that keeps chewing through his toys! And toys are verrrrry important to have around the house! If he doesn’t have things to play with that is where your dogs start biting your hands, your expensive shoes, furniture and even carpet! Yes carpet!
Roger tore out a string! Bad dog!
You don’t bite stuff that doesn’t belong to you! Do you Roger That? Roger That.
Anyway, if you want to stop flushing money down the toilet and keep you dog happy, look no further than ChuckIt Fetch Games! ChuckIt Dog toys rule!
I hope to be testing many other ChuckIt toys!
For Christmas Roger is getting:
**Update** January 27th 2017
It’s still alive!!! Roger likes playing with it and chewing it and it’s still alive! I honestly didn’t think it would be! He likes to play with it, but he likes his indoor flier much better!
Thank you all for your love and support!

ColdGear® Infrared technology uses a soft, thermo-conductive inner coating to absorb & retain your own body heat
Does this technology really work? Yes; yes it does! The skullys are amazing! Super thin and warm! They keep the heat in and act as a thicker fabric!
The gloves above however; are too thin! They work till about 30 degrees and then your hands are freezing! Freezing a lot less than if you had nothing on, but they do not keep enough warmth in. They do however; make a nice set of glove liners! Put a heavier set of gloves over this set to keep your hands warm at super low temperatures.
Remember; if you layer you can always remove layers as you get warmer. Under Armour infrared is a great base layer!
