The packaging is really cool and it comes with a big 65pg booklet!

About:
The secret of truly elite athletes isn’t the amount of time spent working out, the intensity of the workout, or the determination to push one’s body to the limits. No, world-class athletes are beating their competition thanks to the effects of high-altitude training.

When the air is thinner, your body works harder, increasing your ability to process oxygen. When you return to lower elevations, your performance will show substantial increases in strength, endurance and speed. It’s as if you were wearing a suit of armor while working out and then removed it for the competition.

It used to be that most athletes who wanted that edge were out of luck. Unless they lived near very high mountains, or had an enormous amount of money to travel to training facilities there, they had to settle for the benefits of a hard workout at sea level.

That was then. Now there’s a way to get the benefits of high-altitude training without heading to the mountaintop.

Introducing Training Mask, a new, PATENED product that helps condition the lungs by creating pulmonary resistance and strengthening the diaphragm, making your workout seem like it’s being held high in the mountains.

Training Mask will make your workout so efficient, you can actually cut the amount of time spent in training by as much as two-thirds. Simply strap it on and begin your normal work out. Within days, you’ll see the difference!

It’s really simple science. By conditioning your lungs and creating pulmonary resistance, your diaphragm is strengthened, thereby making your lungs work harder. When lungs work harder, the surface area and elasticity in the alveoli is increased, thus increasing your stamina and ability to go harder at your sport – or simply have increased energy for daily living.

Our multi-level resistance system uses our patent-pending flux valve system, forcing you to inhale fuller, deep breaths. While your body adapts, your lungs will be trained to take deeper breaths and use the available oxygen more efficiently. Increasing your alveoli’s surface area will transport more oxygen via your red blood cells and carry it to the extremities.

And now, Training Mask is even better. Training Mask 2.0 has arrived. After extensive research and clinical testing at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, we have modified the original design into a less obtrusive, amazingly comfortable mask that fits comfortably over your nose and mouth. It truly is the ultimate respiratory training device, used by thousands of athletes all over the world to increase performance.

Join them and learn what numerous clinical trials have already proven – you can increase endurance, maximize your oxygen absorption during intensive exercise, improve lung function, lower heart rate for the same load, reduce medication and symptoms, improve quality of life and enhance your ability to recover from injuries and training.

The Science
:

You walk and run every day without thinking about your breathing or the ability to breathe, it’s taken for granted. Imagine, that one day, fatigue and plateau’s were a thing of that past, with the Training Mask that day is NOW!

Elevation Training Mask mimics the effects of High Altitude Training. When elite athletes want to improve their performance they go to high altitude levels to train. When they come back to sea level they perform much stronger, faster, and have increased endurance.

Training Mask makes your work out more efficient allowing you to take your work out from 60 minutes to 20 minutes. From the average daily walker to the marathon runner, Training Mask appeals to every athlete who wants to improve their overall health and performance.

What is the Elevation Training Mask?
Elevation Training Mask is a patented (PAT.8.590.533 B2) “Resistance Training Device” that helps condition the lungs by creating pulmonary resistance and strengthening the diaphragm.

Elevation Training Mask will help you regulate your breathing, increase lung stamina, lung capacity, oxygen efficiency and increase overall mental focus. Training Mask can help your over all performance in all sports and daily living

Elevation Training Mask helps! By conditioning the lungs and creating pulmonary resistance, your diaphragm is strengthened, surface area and elasticity in the alveoli is increased. Elevation Training Mask will help get your breathing under control and help with lung stamina, increase lung capacity, oxygen efficiency and increase over all mental focus. Training Mask can be used to make you become a better athlete in all sports and daily living.

Our multi-level resistance system reduces air flow through our patent pending flux valve system. Training Mask promotes increased lung capacity by forcing you to inhale fuller deeper breaths. When your body adapts to the resistance your lungs will be trained to take deeper breaths and use oxygen more efficiently. A short explanation of how this works is simple. When you breath against resistance the lining in the lungs essentially stretches out allowing the alveoli’s surface area to become “stretched” thus in return allows for more blood flow to the alveoli for more (oxygen transportation). When you increase “surface area” you increase red blood cell count that will be able to carry more oxygen out to the extremities.

After extensive research and clinical testing from the UNIVERSITY OF NAIT the Training Mask 2.0 has made remarkable advancement in the fitness and training industry. Training Mask 2.0 takes all the amazing “Diaphragm Resistance Technology” from Training Mask 1.0 and compiles it into a less obtrusive, amazingly comfortable silicone mask that fits over the nose and mouth.

While using Training Mask 2.0 the conditioning of your lungs significantly increases along with endurance and diaphragm strength. Training Mask 2.0 will benifit your respiratory system as your overall cardio and endurance will improve with continued use.

**There are many breathing devices and respiratory trainers used by hundreds of elite athletes for sports performance and by other users for health and fitness. Some of these devices are invented to increase strength of the respiratory muscles. Numerous clinical trials have found that these devices can increase endurance and VO2max (maximum oxygen absorption during most intensive exercise), improve lung function tests (VEF, PEF, FVC, and VEmax), lower heart rate for the same load, reduce medication (drugs) and symptoms, improve quality of life scores and lead to other beneficial health effects

**Furthermore, with correct applications, breathing devices can increase body oxygen levels and produce profound effects on long term endurance, VO2max, duration of recovery from injuries and intensive training, together with life quality effects related to sleep, energy level and digestion. This review is focused on these oxygen-related effects of various breathing techniques.

I just wore the mask on the 3000ft (lowest setting) for 30 min while watching tv and I can already feel the load on my diaphragm and other muscles!

I do have a question! I am in NJ

20140227-191909.jpg
As you can see, most of New Jersey resides at, or less than 500 feet above, sea level.

So do I add my base elevation to the mask? So am I training 3500ft?

What if I wear the mask in Denver? Is it safe? The mile high city: 5,280ft above sea level plus 3000ft = 8,280ft

The highest mask setting is 18,000ft plus Denver’s 5,280ft total = 23,280

Mt Everest is: 29,029!

20140227-193037.jpg
That would be like climbing one of the Himalayas!

That’s higher than: Lunpo Gangri

Is it safe? Is there a special warning label for Denver Purchases?

Climb into the sky without leaving the gym or your couch!

This mask is pretty cool! Even just wearing it around the house and you sound like Darth Vader! In fact I want the bane sleeve!

20140227-193920.jpg
Yes you can customize your mask with different sleeves and different color vent covers.

**Update** February 27th 2014
There’s is a benefit to wearing this for all military. I know when I wear the gas mask it’s not comfortable and I sometimes hyperventilate and can’t catch my breath and I have trouble breathing. This will get you used to wearing it!

I can’t catch my breath satisfactorily for my comfort it really sucks! And my nose is leaking!!!

I also found that I must wear the optional head strap to take the tension off my ears.

I am also not going to train in this for a couple days! I wore it for a 1/2hr yesterday today I will wear it for 1-1.5hrs to get used to it.

Elevation Mask fun:

20140228-224240.jpg

3rd time using it today; starting to get used to it! I used it while I was foam rolling today. I am going to try it tomorrow morning and if all is well off to gym we go!

It’s making my eyes run and my nose runs and eventually my nose gets stuffy!

**Update** March 1st 2014
The directions say like a gas mask it needs a clean shave to seal properly so I have not been shaving on purpose to see when that happens. (Which is the reason the US Military has shaving regulations due to the gas mask seal)

20140301-135221.jpg
Looks pretty scruffy! Will it seal? Lets find out!

Btw I farted and almost died! So it’s by no way shape or form a gas mask! And do not assume in an apocalypse situation it will save your life, because you will die! Then again survival of the fittest and natural selection… Go ahead use it and die so when I survive I’ll come eat your food stores! I hope you bought yummy food!

**Note**
If you are doing extended training make sure you have a long straw for your bottle so you can jam it under the mask to properly hydrate!!

**Update** March 4th 2014
2 notes!

1. You will need more than one sleeve as they get soaked! So you need to rotate as one dries. I ordered the Bane Sleeve and black caps. To look badass!

I did the stairs today for the first time and it sucked bad! I was sucking air! On the elliptical I can control my breathing! I was going to up the altitude, but not till I can handle the stairs easily.

2. You need the carry bag which I also ordered. I threw the mask in my gymbag and protein powder on the bottom got all over it and I had to wash it, you don’t want a plastic shopping bag, because it won’t breathe and it will mildew.

***Attention Military Members***
If you are having trouble with your PT Run this mask is for you! It will increase the oxygenation in your blood and capacity in your lungs helping you run faster and longer before you tire. Which will find you that edge to increase your score and save your career or give you that PT patch you always wanted!

Check this mask out it could be your saving grace!

Furthermore; for those of you, like myself that bug out when donning the gas mask, it will help you get used to it and increase your lung capacity, so the restricted oxygen flow won’t bother you! It could be the difference that will one day save your life!

Don’t throw away the box and book! I’m upping my mask to the next configuration right now! Then eating, then Cold Rollering!

Now I am at 6k feet plus North Jersey’s 500 feet that’s 6.5k feet!

Watching Restaurant Impossible at 6,500 ft in NJ!

The 6k setting was not that bad! I’m thinking of raising it again!

Upped it to 9k my ears are popping like I am on a plane 😳. This is hard!!!!!! I’m dying!!! I’m sucking in so hard to catch my breathe the right side is collapsing in!!

**Update** March 14th 2014
The 9k is getting tolerable. I am still occasionally sucking in strong enough to collapse the rt side, but at least it’s occasionally now instead of regularly!

**Update** April 1st 2014
Took a little time off, injured my knee, I think it was from rolling too hard on the Beastie Bar.

Breathing normally now, not collapsing the mask anymore.
Anyway; today I am turning it up to 12k!

**Update** April 8th 2014
Upped it to 12k then to 15k today going to the max! 18k 💪

18k sucks!!! I’m caving in mask and nose leaking again!

**Update** April 10th 2014
I still can’t believe the jump from 15k to 18k is soooo hard!

**Update** April 11th 2014
18k is still kicking my ass!!

**Update** April 25th 2014
This thing still sucks at 18k it’s a lite better the last 2 weeks but today is killing me! Off caffeine ughhh

**Update** April 13th 2015

I took a picture but I guess I forgot to post it! Thank you for asking! The question was: after growing my beard a little does it still work? Well; I didn’t grow a full fledged bushy beard, but here’s what I got (keep in mind I work in a corporate environment and I’m military and have to shave every couple weeks also)

I let it go that bad and I had no problem with the mask sealing! I’ll see if I can find someone with a bushy beard and see if it works! I don’t believe it will, but you never know! Thank you again for asking! Keep up the questions and don’t be afraid to comment!
