The Empire State Building is a 102-story landmark in New York City, United States, at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and West 34th Street. It is 1,250 ft (381 meters) tall.[7] Its name is derived from the nickname for New York, the Empire State. It stood as the world’s tallest building for 40 years, from its completion in 1931 until construction of the World Trade Center’s North Tower was completed in 1972. Following the destruction of the World Trade Center in 2001, the Empire State Building once again became the tallest building in New York City.

The Empire State Building was built during The Great Depression. It stood tall as a symbol of hope. Ironically many people met their maker plummeting from it’s top. For others, the top gives an awe inspiring view of the largest city in the world. At night it gives you a view of the world’s largest light show.

The tickets are not cheap!! At $22 for an adult 86th floor Observatory only ticket. Military members get a whopping $2 discount!! That’s bullshit NYC! They don’t even get express tickets!! They do however get free admission if in uniform, but what solider is going to go (or authorized) in uniform! That’s bullshit NYC!! Military members made that view of freedom and you still charge them and their families! Furthermore, the family accompanied by the soldiers pay full price if they don’t have a Military ID. Thanks NYC!!

By the way you can also go to the 102nd floor observatory but that’s an extra $15 per person with absolutely no discount! Thanks again NYC!! Like you don’t get enough of our money with all the bullshit tolls!
