What can I say? It was fun! I have a trampoline in my backyard, and a portable workout rebounder, but I don’t have over 30 connected together lol. I also don’t have a foam pit

I was disappointed about the way they controlled the foam pit like Nazi’s! There was 5 or so trampolines to jump into the pit and only 2 at a time were able to jump. That caused a huge lineup and literally wasted most of our time! Then they kept saying we need to take a 10 min break so they can re-puff up the foam blocks.

The dodgeball was a total disappointment as it is improperly managed! They make teams and that’s it! If you want to play you have to stand there and wait and lose your time!

What should happen is either they make teams and one person gets out another goes in, until everyone waiting is dead. Or make teams and take names for the next team and call the names for the new team over the loudspeaker and give them so much time to report!

It would be much smoother and much more fair! The referee knew a lot of the regulars names and gave them preferential treatment and let them go in the game ahead of others waiting. We all pay for time! If you get mistreated, you will be less likely to become a new regular!

One other thing I didn’t like was they had one court closed off for no reason! That made all the other areas more populated!

Back to the parts I enjoyed; the foam pit (once you actually got a chance to do it) was awesome! Once you launch yourself into it, it is so hard to get out! I (at 270lbs) was suspended in the air and trapped upside down!! I had to forcefully roll over to my stomach and stand up then get my legs over the top of the foam and try and crawl on my belly like my army training days. It takes a lot out of you to climb out of there! It’s a great workout! Especially; when you sink all the way to the bottom and your feet are on the trampoline beneath the foam blocks.

They also have a basketball area where you can do trick slam dunks, but I don’t care for that.

The actual jump arena is cool as they have slanted trampolines for walls and you can bounce off of those too! The best part is to jump off the wall and crash and burn! Which I was doing above! Jump off the wall and let it throw you wherever you go! Don’t try to land it! But remember how to fall properly if you do that! Don’t try to put your hand down to stop you, keep your hands and head tucked in! You can even tuck in your legs like a cannon ball!

Just hope you don’t land between the trampolines on a hard spot lol!

Speaking of; one of the problems I had was jumping between the trampolines. Getting the forward momentum was hard! I always landed on the hard part between the trampolines And it hurt my knees. That’s where running down the trampolines came from lol. Let me tell you running down them is also a killer workout! Just do sprints back and forth!

I was also running across all the trampolines however you have to rub kind of goofy like you are jumping over the hurdles on a track as you will see when you try to do it!

My wife was doing more advanced stuff like: backflips and back handsprings. I did a cartwheel in one picture lol. That’s as much as my gymnastics goes. I’m too big to flip now, unless I’m flipping into the foam pit! You can also do flying martial arts kicks into the foam pit lol as I did in the one picture.

Overall just have fun, be a kid and enjoy life! And get a workout in the process! If you are old or elderly, just jump. Jumping in one spot only will give you a great workout! And you can do something with your children/grandchildren. Rebounding is beneficial for people with all kinds of injuries! See my article on rebounding here on this site!

They even have a snackbar that wasn’t too shabby! If you are hungry or thirsty check it out! (If you will be there for a while remember to hydrate! You will need to drink a lot!

**Hint** I will give u a hint! They give you socks like they give in the hospital with the grips on the bottom. Do not take off your socks! Place those socks over your socks!

If you do what I did and replace your socks, you will lose their socks in the foam pit and you will be barefoot and have to walk around the dirty floors back to the front desk to get more socks! If you put them over your socks they will create friction and remain in place!

There you go a free tip! Lol

Attractions: Bushkill Falls, Bushkill PA

Bushkill Falls
The “Niagara of Pennsylvania,” Bushkill Falls is among the Keystone State’s most famous scenic attractions. This unique series of eight waterfalls, nestled deep in the wooded Pocono Mountains, is accessible through an excellent network of hiking trails and bridges which afford fabulous views of the falls and the surrounding forest.

History:
Centuries of Natural History
High in the uplands of the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania, streams of crystal pure water bubble up through rifts in primeval rock. These are the headwaters of Bushkill Creek, a great marsh alive with the call of wild birds.

As the waters begin their descent toward the Delaware River far below, they move ever faster toward Bushkill Falls, rushing over Pennell Falls, then between rocky walls through the Upper Canyon and Laurel Glen.

Suddenly the stream drops over the edge of a 100-foot cliff, the majestic Main Falls. From the deep pool at the bottom, banked by ferns, mosses, and wild flowers, the creek now drops another seventy feet through a long and spectacular gorge strewn with gigantic boulders. Trails and bridges lace the area, affording splendid views.

Nature hikers are enthusiastic about the walk to the Bridal Veil Falls. Here you will follow a nice trail by the Pond Run stream. The stream soon flows into the Little Bushkill where the mountain path leads deep into the forest. Spring-fed waters tumble down the mountainside in a series of three lovely falls, so misty in their appearance they are named for brides of love.

Charles E. Peters first opened Bushkill Falls to the public in 1904, with a single path and a swinging bridge over the head of the main falls. Bushkill Falls is still owned by the Peters family.

Bushkill Falls provides families, friends, couples, and nature enthusiasts with an excellent opportunity to experience the splendor and beauty of Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains. Bring some comfortable shoes for a walk over natural pathways. It’s only a short distance to view the Main Falls from the primary observation deck. Three additional hiking trails provide numerous viewing angles of all eight waterfalls. Our trails are designed to appeal to varying ages and physical conditioning. We’ll gladly advise as to the appropriateness of our trails depending upon your individual abilities or concerns.

Our trails vary in length and difficulty:

Green Trail – View the Main Falls from the green trail, which takes about 15 minutes to walk. No climbing is involved, however, there are steps.
Yellow Trail – View the Main Falls, as well as Lower Gorge Falls, Laurel Glen and Upper Canyon, which takes 45 minutes to walk.
Blue Trail – View Pennell Falls from the blue trail, which takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to walk.
Red Trail – View Bridal Veil Falls from the Red trail. This trail is for the avid hiker in that it spans almost 2 miles, includes all eight falls, and takes over 2 hours to hike.

As you hike the trails, or walk the grounds of Bushkill Falls, you’ll have a first-hand opportunity to see the wonders of nature close at hand. Whether you’re busy at a game of miniature golf on our 18-hole course, cooling off on a paddle boat ride, or feeding the wild ducks and geese, be sure to bring your camera to capture some memorable moments against the picturesque backdrop of Bushkill Falls.

Bird Watching on the Trails

The Pennsylvania Poconos are home to a wide variety of local and migratory bird species including song birds, ducks and geese, wild turkey, and birds of prey such as owls, hawks, and eagles. Other area wildlife include black bear, white-tail deer, bobcat, red and grey fox, coyote, raccoon, skunk, opossum, rabbit, squirrel, woodchuck, and chipmunks.

Pennsylania Wildlife Exhibit

The Pennsylvania Wildlife Exhibit, located at the entrance of Bushkill Falls, features fascinating displays about the area’s indigenous wildlife. From the mighty black bear to the timid chipmunk, the exhibit is an outstanding place to learn more about these creatures that are so integral a part of the Bushkill Falls natural environment.

Map Adventure Program

To enhance your hiking experience, you may want to take part in our Map Adventure program. An official trail map has been developed just for this adventure. The map, which is especially detailed and accurate, includes 20 “control points” that can be found on the trails. When five, ten, or twenty locations have been found and verified with a unique punch of your card by a park official, you will become eligible for a monthly prize drawing.

The Map Adventure map includes a handy tree guide, along with facts and trivia about Bushkill Falls. It is available for only $3.00 and includes 1 punch card, additional punch cards are $.50 a piece.

Great for family trips or a romantic hike. However it’s highly populated and for those of you that enjoy hiking and looking for the next trail marker; you won’t have that here as the trail is much more commercial with bridges and walkways.

I didn’t have time to take pictures on the actual trail, it is harder than the boardwalk and much Easier then the ridge in Vernon.

Not bad for a hike that isn’t all the way in the middle of nowhere.

Another hint: the Ringwood Manor is also a giant destination every year for wedding photos, so if you are in the area and would love beautiful photos head over to the manor.

Try it you might like it!

The other day we took a different trail up a giant hill!

20120424-234958.jpg

If you look carefully at the picture we started alongside the river at the 2nd cable upright. Our total run that day, after the hill and trails in the woods was: 6.6 miles!

Today we went crazy up that hill pictured above then down the back

And along the powerlines into New York to sterling forest lake pictured below:

We ran around the lake to another lake where I found a tree apparently eaten by a beaver:

I usually wear cheap cotton, champion socks this time I tried an expensive pair or Thorlo socks priced about $15 a pair and this was the result:

Expensive vs cheap – Wool vs Cotton doesn’t always make a difference! I want to try Under Armour Socks! Next!
