Product Review: Misto – Gourmet Olive Oil Sprayer

Misto Olive Oil Sprayer offers a flexible and reusable solution to spreading olive oil evenly. If you’ve ever tried to get a light, even coating of oil on food or pans, you know what a challenge it can be. Normally, the choice is to buy a can of PAM or Wesson. The point is that these products use aerosol sprays and are limited to their choice of oils. Provided you don’t mind the expense of disposable aerosol cans, that solution works fine.

On the other hand, if you want more control over your choice of oils or if you want to be more environmentally friendly, then your choice becomes a mister like the Misto Olive Oil Sprayer. It’s ideal for getting a light, even coating over your bruschetta or focaccia. Likewise, you can use it on your grilled or roasted vegetables. It’s also ideal to put a thin coating of vegetable oil on your cake and muffin pans.

The Misto Gourmet Brushed Aluminum Sprayer is a refillable pump sprayer that uses air to mist food or pans. At 7-5/8 inches high, it fits easily on your countertop. It’s satin-finish aluminum case with black band looks classy, goes well with any décor and cleans off easily.

By the way, it works with any cooking oil and even with vinegar so you may want more than one for your own convenience. I know that getting a light coating of my favorite balsamic vinegar is a challenge because of how fast it pours. And too much vinegar overpowers the salad.

Remember to only fill it half so that you can pump air into the canister to provide the pressure for your spraying.

The Misto Olive Oil Sprayer makes an attractive and exceptionally functional addition to your kitchen gadgets. As a pump sprayer, it’s environmentally friendly. It saves you money because you can refill it. And best of all, you can use it for the kitchen oils of your choice as well as for vinegar, all of which gives you more control over your dining and costs.

This looks like a cool product! No chemicals! No gas propellant! And you can buy your favorite olive oil or flavor infused oil in bulk cheaply and not be forced to use Pam!

Will it hold up? Idk it feels thin and cheaply made! But for $7.99 at Marshall’s sure I’ll take it!

It’s also good for Balsamic Vinegar on Amazon they have a red or purple bottle which would be good for differentiating between your oil and vinegar.

Spray Vinegar is also good to limit the amount on your salad. You can fully coat the leaves in less than 2 tbsp

It works pretty good. However; it took 2 pump sessions to coat my large pan. The small pan you can do with one pump, but that’s a small price to pay for chemical propellant free cooking!!

Like I said the best usage would be to have one for olive oil and one (different color one) for balsamic vinegar. If you use multiple oils such as grapeseed etc… Use a silver for olive oil, use a red for balsamic vinegar and a purple for grapeseed oil etc…

You will save money in the long run, because you will use less product and can buy oils/vinegars in bulk. You can also buy high quality oils and vinegars. Such as pepper or truffle infused oils etc…

If you are on a diet or like to cook or both; buy these!! They are worth it!
