The Benefits of FRACTYL lens geometry

i-AMP Lens Technology is comprised of the following elements:

Intense digital viewing reduces blink rate dramatically. With a blink rate that can be from a half to a third of normal, protective tear film breaks up between blinks, leaving eyes irritated, dry and exposed to environmental damage. Long term effects can include abrasion, erosion or even scarring of the cornea.

FRACTYL Lens Geometry includes a high degree of curvature. Lenses wrap closely to the face and form a protective barrier from drying air currents while trapping humidity close to the eye.

Eyes feel more comfortable and protected. Dry, scratchy, irritated feeling goes away. In independent third party studies, alleviation of dry eye irritation ranked as the number one improvement brought on by use of GUNNAR eyewear.

Eye muscles flex to view near objects. Extended near distance viewing without breaks causes cumulative eyestrain, can lead to repetitive stress problems and can even cause possible loss of distance vision.

FRACTYL lens geometry focuses light before reaching the eye, allowing eye muscles to relax.

Long term comfort increases, allowing longer sessions at the computer, game console, or mobile device without eye muscles straining as hard. Eyes feel less tired. In the short term, details are easier to see with the overall image appearing sharper and clearer.

Lens Material:

Traditional lens materials force a decision between the benefits of clarity and color control or durability and impact resistance. No other material possesses the best of both.

DIAMIX lens material optimizes durability and impact resistance while maintaining the highest degree of clarity and color control.

With minimal haze and ultra sharp optics, DIAMIX lenses appear crystal clear. With a high degree of color control, DIAMIX lenses handle engineered tints and bandpass filters properly with no bi-refringence or edge effects found in other lens materials. The highly durable material creates stable optics that won’t permanently deform when flexed or degrade over time through repeated use.

Offers an optically pure viewing experience with ultralight, ergonomic properties

• low density with lighter lenses • higher light transmission rate enhances clarity • higher ABBE value for distortion free viewing • medium index of refraction (1.51) allows for thinner lenses than CR39

Lens Tint:

Artificial light from energy efficient computers and overhead fluorescent lighting contains small bands of high intensity energy instead of equally balanced, full spectrum light the human eye prefers to see.

IONIK Lens Tints filter and balance the transmitted spectrum, reducing high energy visible light and warming the overall view.

With harsh, high energy light reduced, more sensitive parts of the eye engage, increasing perceived contrast. Reducing the overall amount of light from a self illuminated screen helps visual recovery and reduces “after image” effects.

The signature lens tint that offers the best enhancement of contrast and visual performance while minimizing screen glare and diminishing the harshest parts of the color spectrum.

The Crystalline lens and coating formula is designed specifically for graphic designers, video/film editors, and creative visual artists that requires an equally balanced color spectrum. If your profession requires you work in true color, then this lens option is for you.

Lens Coatings – i-Fi Problem:

Reflections and glare cause visual noise, requiring extra strain to mentally sort between the desired image and non-desired light.

i-Fi Lens Coatings have anti-reflective properties that reduce reflections and glare.

Without distracting reflections, the screen appears crisp and clear. While some prescription eyewear has anti-reflective properties on the front portion of the lens, reflected light from the eyeball shows as a distracting element on the backside of the lens. GUNNAR uses the anti-reflection coating on both sides for a crystal clear view.

i-AMP Lens Technology is comprised of the following elements:

In the short term, optics of normal lenses degrade due to the buildup of haze inducing oils. In the long term, surface abrasion and damage from use lowers the optical performance.

i-Fi Lens Coatings have an outer, protective hard coat that resists scratching and helps maintain optical integrity over time. Additional treatments prevent oil buildup and promote easy cleaning and care.

Not only do GUNNARS perform beautifully in the short term, they provide excellent optical performance over time.

I will have them soon! they have been shipped.

I got 2 pairs, the RPG and the Halogen – the RPG fit really good while the Halogen is too small for me, my eyelashes hit the lenses. I notice a difference when wearing the RPG’s they do cut back on eye strain.

I do however have an idea to make them better! Gunnars needs to make a MilSpec Ballistic version that is ansi certified, with a sturdy Oakley like frame.

I think everything posted was actually very logical.
But, think about this, what if you were to create a killer post title?

I mean, I don’t want to tell you how to run your blog, however suppose you added a title that grabbed a person’s attention?

is kinda vanilla. You could look at Yahoo’s home page and note how they create article titles to get people to open the links. You might try adding a video or a related pic or two to grab readers excited about what you’ve got to say.

In my opinion, it might bring your blog a little livelier.

    • I try to sometimes add exciting titles after, mostly the titles are for organization on my part, it takes a lot of time updating and writing this blog, which I haven’t had too much time, If this was my job and I was actually getting paid, I would be more creative and have catchy titles everytime. I appreciate your input, I absolutely love comments! It gives me affirmation that people actually read my thoughts. Thank You and keep it up!

I’ll try and make more catchy titles thx
