Looks like its a win for Obama…

As of 3:48 am EST it looks to be a win for President Obama. At least this time there isn’t annoying news casts about his birth certificate every 5 minutes!

It’s not official yet, we are still waiting on Florida as usual and New York and New Jersey (areas affected by Hurricane Sandy) those states are usually, New York & New Jersey democrat and Florida Republican, so with that, President Obama looks to have won again.

As far as my opinion goes, I am military and whomever wins is my boss. That’s all I will say about that.

However, I believe the voting system is flawed! The concept of electoral college votes is bullshit! In essence if you live in a state that is predominantly democrat or republican your vote does not count. Causing many Americans to not even bother voting. Let’s face it, the way the system is, it’s bothersome to vote. You have to drop what you are doing, go to your assigned location, wait in line (we spend over half of our short lives waiting for something!) vote, then continue on only to have your vote not count.

Elections should be won by popular vote!

That being said: Congratulations President Obama, who not only won the electoral vote, but also won the popular vote.

Well, none of that craziness transpired. Obama’s win was complete. As of this morning, it appears that the president received 59,584,123 votes, compared to Romney’s tally of 56,961,230. For those who don’t want to pull out the cellphone calculators, that’s a margin of 2,622,893 votes. Percentage-wise, Obama won 50.3 percent of the nation’s vote, while Romney got 48.1 percent—a margin of 2.2 percent, which was bigger than JFK’s edge over Nixon in 1960, Nixon’s edge over Hubert Humphrey in 1968, Jimmy Carter’s edge over Gerald Ford in 1976, and, of course, Al Gore’s edge over George Bush in 2000.
